Local councillor Simeon Jackson selected as Mid Norfolk Candidate for 2015 General Election

7 December 2013

Breckland Green Party are pleased to announce that they have selected their candidate for Mid Norfolk, Simeon Jackson.

Simeon has been a local councillor in Norwich since May 2013, where he has been working with a strong team of Green Councillors on the City and County Councils to achieve policies that promote sustainable transport, protect the local environment and challenge overdevelopment.

Born in East Harling, and educated in Shipdham, Dereham and Wymondham College, Simeon has called Norfolk home his entire life, although he spent four years away whilst studying Architectural Engineering in Leeds.

He has spent time working for electric car company Tesla Motors, based at the Lotus factory in Hethel, near Wymondham, and has also worked for an engineering company near Hingham.

Whilst not carrying out his office as a City Councillor, Simeon works for an architectural design practice, which specialises in heritage and conservation buildings across the region and beyond.

Simeon's political interests are in sustainable built environments, monetary and banking reform, care for the vulnerable in society and engaging more people (particularly young people) in democracy.

In his spare time, Simeon enjoys swing dancing, choral singing and enjoying the countryside.
